LegaLock - Our History

We are a uniquely positioned transcription company that provides medical transcription, legal transcription, CART, and court reporting services. LegaLock was established in Maryland by a former federal security official, business managers, and transcription professionals with more than 100 years of accumulated experience. Currently, we have offices in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, West Virginia, and Florida.

Our founders developed the transcription industry’s first and only electronic solution in compliance with the Federal Information System Management Act (FISMA) and the President’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policy memorandum 06-16, “Protection of Sensitive Agency Information”, otherwise known as “the remote data encryption mandate”. There is not another single commercial transcription or court reporting company within the U.S. or elsewhere with the knowledge and proper computer system authorized to process, store, and transmit sensitive but unclassified (SBU) government data.

Because of our exclusive secure technologies, LegaLock was recently selected as a semi-finalist for the 2010 Homeland Security Awards. This selection was based in part because of our development of the legal transcription industry’s first and only computer infrastructure in full compliance with:
